A Message from the Founder
From childhood, I’ve carried a deep belief that people deserve better — better opportunities, better support, and better systems that help them thrive. At the age of ten, I made a vow that shaped the direction of my life: to help those in need and to uplift the less fortunate. This vow has guided every decision and every initiative I’ve launched.
My late grandfather once told me I would become a pastor or a police officer, roles rooted in service and protection. Although I chose a different path, the heart of that calling has stayed with me. Instead of preaching sermons or enforcing laws, I build structures — businesses, technologies, and communities — that empower people to rise.

In 1988, a small office opened at 25 St. Nicholas Street in downtown Toronto. The goal was straightforward — help small and independent businesses, particularly in the creative industries, access the services and infrastructure they needed to operate successfully.
What began as a local effort quickly revealed a much larger challenge.
Small businesses make up the vast majority of the economy, employ millions of people, and drive innovation across industries. Yet founders are often forced to navigate overwhelming bureaucracy, confusing regulations, and fragmented service providers.
For many, the system itself becomes the obstacle. Too many great businesses fail — not because of bad ideas, but because the operational foundations were never properly built.
That realization shaped the mission of Edwin Davis International. We exist to help founders build businesses that can operate, grow, and endure beyond the chaos of the early stages.

From the age of ten, Edwin Davis felt a profound responsibility to uplift others. Before immigrating to Canada in 1978, his late grandfather, Eugene Davis, predicted he would one day become either a pastor or a police officer — roles dedicated to service and protection. Although young Edwin declined both paths from the very moment, he made a private vow that day, to uphold his grandfathers will, yet unbeknowingly became that of his own: to help others as he saw his grandfather do, countless of times. Edwin decided to commit his life to helping those who are less fortunate and those in need.
This commitment became the foundation of his leadership journey. Rather than serving from a pulpit or through law enforcement, Edwin chose to empower people through knowledge, innovation, and opportunity. Today, as the founder of EDWIN L DAVIS INTERNATIONAL INC (ELDII) and its ecosystem of research, technology, media, and business management companies, he builds structures that support individuals, small businesses, and communities striving to elevate themselves.
His work continues to reflect the spirit of service passed down through generations — a modern expression of leadership, compassion, and discipline aimed at transforming lives through access, empowerment, and visionary infrastructure.
